Interesting stone hands, presenting in a closed fist and crisscrossed, each has the ability to hold a taper candle. Heavy stone in a cream that has been antiqued with a brown stain highlighting the details of the two hands. While each hand can hold a candle, it doesn’t make sense for each hand to have a candle in it at the same time, as those candles would bump into each other. We like this piece on its own without candles, sitting on top of stack of books, on the bookshelf, expressing solidarity, or even rebellion.

Good overall condition stone has very minor scuffs appropriate to Asian use. As mentioned above, not able to hold two candles at once they would bump into one another. One taper holder is deeper than the other.
