Gorgeous, raku, handmade vase, presented with a gray iridescent band around the shoulder of the vessel, under the band is a cream and caramel glaze that has a dark charcoal, gray crackling in the glaze. Above the iridescent band, a star like pattern has been incised into the gray clay and has a Blushy peach star that is framed by sea foam green glaze. This is a thin walled delicate work of art.
Nice condition too noted scuffs for which a picture was provided. There is intentional crazing and crackling throughout the glaze of the pottery. There are some imperfections from the time that the piece was made that may include some extra clay under the glaze that creates a bump, or some spots where the glaze is not evenly applied.
