Stunning old Asian bowl, presented with a deep inky, midnight, blue floral pattern in the center with orange flowers. Around the rim panels, alternate, each an outdoor scene. Colors of ox blood, red, orange, green, and midnight blue throughout. The backside of the plate is decorated with a blue figure around the rim. This is a heavy piece that is a Stoneware like clay.
11.75 inches in diameter by 2.75 inches tall.
This has an imperfect shape, where one side of the bold curves, and slightly more than the other. There are some utensil marks against the orange flowers in the center of the bowl. There are some imperfections in the hand painting with overlapping and over painting. There is a scuff at the rim, that is under the glaze see the photo I provided there is some uneven glazing on the back
