Wonderful Asian table lamp, shaped as a slender, tall vase, it rests upon a cast metal base that has been painted black. On a crisp white, a male and female peacock stand along a hillside under a blooming tree branch. Colors of fuchsia, baby blue, tangerine, light green, pale, yellow and black, dominate the scene. Geometric designs and scrolling florals frame that central panel of the peacocks. On the backside of the lamp, Asian symbols appear vertically and red (I’m sorry I do not know what it reads). We love the slender attribute of this lamp. It is not smaller in size, just more slender and wet and is nice to have on an end table or nightstand, for that reason, as it won’t need much area.
We have just had this lamp rewired with a new cord

Ceramic, in very nice condition, there is a indentation like a finger nail slice in the backside of the lamp, it is under the glaze so this would’ve happened at the time the lamp was made. We provided a photo of it. There is some over transfer of the pattern and some imperfections in the transfer of the design. There’s some minor loss to the edges around the base of the lamp paint appropriate to use and handling. The black metal That sits at the top of the ceramic has some scuffs around the edge with some paint loss, the cradle, harp, finial and socket show tarnish, these pieces are original to the lamp.
