Wonderful set of vintage Japanese stoneware, tea cups, presented with Saufley faceted size, each displaying a panel of floral or geometric pattern, and deep chocolate brown with black accents against a creamy, tope ceramic. Around the rim, a brown stripe has been painted to finish the design. This fit nicely into your hand and can be used to sip tea, or your favorite sake.
3 1/8 inches in diameter by 2.25 inches tall.
Very nice condition no cracks and no chips. There is crazing on the tea cups. That may have been intentional in the glaze. Minor imperfections that occurred in the making of the tea cups that would include over painting, or uneven painting. Paper label for Japan remains on the bottom.
