Wonderful vintage Asian bowl, presented as a ceramic bowl that has been placed into a heavy aluminum sides. The silver metal surrounds the sides, and the rim of the bowl, with slight indent on the top of the rim on each side, as a place to rest a chopstick. The metal gets the ball, durability and strength and also presents a nice contrast. The ceramic is a crisp white with rich, royal and deep blue colors that depict three young Asian boys, in traditional clothing, playing with kites and other toys along a cherry blossom branch. Very pretty and wonderful scene, this piece also works very well sitting on a coffee table or an entryway table as it is gorgeous to display

Bowl was made in Hong Kong in the late 20th century
Nice condition, no chips no cracks to the ceramic. This piece was handmade, and there are some imperfections that occur naturally during the hand making of the bowl. There is some over painting or uneven painting, we also found a spot where the glaze is not completely smooth, and perhaps was glazed over an item on the clay.
