Wonderful old Asian lamp, likely dating back to the early part of the 19th century, it depicts the goddess of mercy, Guanyin, she stands holding an olive branch in her right hand and robes flowing. Well, she feels like wood and was made to look as if she was carved from wood I believe it is more of a resin or composite material. She rest upon a wide Asian wood base that has been stained a deep mahogany and the support pole runs up the back to ultimately be fitted with a lampshade on the top of it. She has amazing old world vibes.
Lampshade is not included
32 inches tall by 8.5 inches wide across the base.
The statue is 21 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches in diameter
This is a dual socket lamp, that maintains its original plug, the cord may have been replaced at a later time. This lamp has been tested, and it does work, we are not replacing the plug to authenticate the age. However, we would suggest that you consider doing so. Standard US bulb end plug. 250 V, 250 W.
The support in the back has come away from its solder point on the statue, see the photo. There are some cracks to the statue that you can see in the photos we provided and a repair that appears to have been done to her neck and crown. There are a few old paint splatters we found one or two tiny drops, and there are a few scuffs to the edges of her base and a few spots through the body which one would expect . There is no finial.
