A lovely set of vintage Tonala pottery, a set of four nested, measuring cups, each glazed in an avocado colored glaze, with a picture of cactus painted into the center of the cup. The handles are painted with stripes and the rims done and a classic Mexican dot pattern. These would be beautiful for display for an element of the Rustic and Primitive in your kitchen.
Smallest cup measures 3.75 inches through the handle by 2.75 inches in diameter by .75 inches deep.
Largest cup measures 6.25 inches through the handle by 4 1/2 inches in diameter by 1 inch deep.
Smallest cup has a sizable chip at the rim, you can see this in the pictures, there is an overall distressed and worn vibe to these, some of that is intentional, and some of that is through age. These are a primitive and rustic pieces and that is reflected in the painting style and the loss and distress of the paint. Each has been stamped on the underside made in Mexico.
