These are amazing set of eight dinner plates, made of a heavy pottery, stoneware, presented in an overall taupe glaze with deep, dark chocolate speckles. An abstract design goes across the front of each one. The designs are all very similar, but maybe slightly different, each plate is handmade. These are large plates measuring 11 5/8 Inches in diameter, and they are heavy. They are signed Rasmussen on the back and dated 1973. These would be hanging on a wall, display on a shelf or even used today.

These plates have some naturally occurring imperfections that happen during the hand making of the pieces. We found some uneven glazing on the front of a couple of plates, we found some uneven clay on the bottom of a few plates, and we note on one plate on the underneath side Where the clay was pushed in by a finger and two spots and not glazed. You can see all of this in the pictures that we’ve provided. There are no cracks to any of the plates and overall they’re in very good condition.
